Ha Bik Chuen's Archive

I assembled common images from Ha Bik-chuen and snapshots from my daily life, trying to reproduce Ha’s intuitional visual collage with my own graphic interpretation. For example, in one panel there’s the red flag of a bullfight (a Ha Bik-chuen motif), which is not only associated with fire, but also masculinity and politics. I also found that ‘Bik Chuen’ – which means “blue water” in Chinese – is opposite of “red” and “fire”. It’s interesting to play with the images.
